Gayle Padovan, 70, of Buckeye Lake, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 3, 2025. She was born on March 17, 1955, and throughout her life, she was known as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Gayle was happiest when surrounded by her family. She loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Her kindness, patience, and warmth touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she brightened.

She is survived by her husband Jim Padovan; her children Paul (Jodie) Gabbert, Richard Gabbert, Anthony Cordell, Melissa (Elliot) Dobelle, and Jennifer (Forest) Kegley; and her cherished grandchildren Shawnie Gabbert, Trevor and Cody Gabbert, Lilly Dobelle, Hannah Kegley, Marshall (Katrina) Dodson, Garrett (John Campbell II) Dodson, and Trevor Dodson. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Maison, whom she adored.

Gayle is also survived by her sisters Marcia Lockwood and Sharon Owens, and was preceded in death by her brothers Malcom Lockwood and Charles Lockwood II.

A celebration of Gayle’s life will be held on Sunday, November 16, from 2–4 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and honor her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting daffodil bulbs in Gayle’s memory, a lasting way to celebrate her love of gardening and the beauty she brought into the world.
