Gayle Woolsey Obituary
Gayle Woolsey, 87, of Campobello, SC, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Rosecrest Retirement Community. Gayle was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 7, 1938, a daughter of the late Hazel (Fortenberry) Bright and James F. Bright.
She was the widow of Donald Wayne Woolsey. Her survivors include her daughter- in -law, Angie Davis; her stepchildren, Donald Woolsey Jr., Tracy Woolsey, Matthew Woolsey, Thomas Woolsey, and Jeffrey Woolsey; five grandchildren, Robert Davis, James Davis, Louis Sanders Jr., William Sanders and Austin Sanders. She was predeceased by two sons, George Davis and James Davis: a brother Jimmy Bright and a sister, Patricia Mode.
She was a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church and was retired from the banking industry as a mortgage closer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Seawright Funeral Home with Dr. Reggie Parker officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connie Maxwell Orphanage 810 Maxwell Avenue Greenwood, South Carolina 29646.
