Gemma F. Thomas

Gemma F. (Procopio) Thomas, 96, a resident of Easton for over 40 years, passed away on October 5, 2025 at the Residence at Five Corners. She was the wife of the late Lawrence "Ace" Thomas.
Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late John and Ida (Ferrini) Procopio, she was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School.
Gemma was employed as an administrative assistant for the Superintendent's office for the Easton Public Schools for 30 years.
A communicant of Holy Cross Church where she also sang in the choir, she was a member of the Holy Cross Women's Club.
An avid bowler she was a member of a bowling league at Westgate Lanes in Brockton.
Gemma enjoyed line dancing, reading, traveling, playing scrabble and bingo and playing golf at Pine Oaks Golf Club in Easton.
In addition Gemma was also active with water aerobics at Holiday inn in Taunton and senior exercise classes with Lee at Leisure Woods Taunton
Gemma is survived by two children, Cheryl Thomas of Taunton and Duane Thomas and his wife Hannah (Goldberg) of Easton; a sister, Rose Stout of Hawaii; and two grandchildren, Elijah J. Thomas and his wife Cassady of Easton and Asher L. Thomas of Brighton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Clementine Macrina.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
