Gena Lynn Blaise, 52, of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family and friends on April 25, 2023, at 9:55 p.m., at her daughters home.
GG was born on August 5, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Frances Elizabeth Johnson and Terry Blaise. She was a Certified Nurses Assistant for over 33 years.
She was married to John Gravitt 25 years ago in Moberly, Missouri.
She was a member of Family Life Fellowship and enjoyed her time working at the local food bank or volunteering at church functions. Gena loved to go kayaking, spending time with her grandkids, family, and friends.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a kindhearted mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Terry Blaise; grandfather, Richard Johnson and uncle, Art Blaise.
Gene is survived by her spouse, John Gravitt, of Moberly, MO; two daughters, Alexandria (James) Hardy and Hannah (Timothy) O’Dell of Brunswick, MO; grandchildren, Christian Lucas of Moberly, MO, Oliva O’Dell, Nolan Hardy and Layton Hardy all of Brunswick, MO; sisters, Jasmine Byron, Teresa Tolly, Cheyenne Blaise and Robin Ellington; extended family and friends.
A celebration of Gena's life has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Family Life Fellowship in Moberly, MO. a visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of PATHWAY-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 411 Union Avenue, Moberly, Missouri 65270 (660) 263-7284.
