Gena Lonas, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, companion, and friend, passed away on April 17, 2025. She was born in Sweetwater, Tennessee, and made her home in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Gena was the proud owner and hairstylist of Gena's Beauty Cabin, where she used her talent, creativity, and warmth to make others feel beautiful and cared for. Her salon was more than a business-it was a place of connection, laughter, and community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lonas of Cleveland; her mother, Ruth Kile; her father, Frank Kile; and her brothers, David Kile, Curtis Kile, and Bobby Kile, all of Sweetwater.
She is survived by her loving companion, Harry Cantrell, who was a constant presence and source of love and support in her life. Gena is also survived by her siblings: Tommy Kile of Etowah; Jerry Kile of Loudon; Joyce Bruner of Madisonville; Christine Isbill of Sweetwater; and Helen Goins of Sweetwater-as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She held a special place in her heart for her nieces: Shandra Jones of Cleveland; Heather Gagnet of Pensacola, Florida; and Angie Roy of Sweetwater.
Gena will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A receiving-of-friends will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the "Ridge Chapel" of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
