Gene Cranfield (Smith), 79, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Gene was born on August 26, 1945 in Ten Mile, TN to William Cranfield and Irene Lynn. Gene married his beloved Angie on March 21, 1987.
Gene enjoyed being outside fishing, hunting, and boating. If he was found inside, he was watching old western movies or doing some woodworking.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Angie of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Jessie Horton, sons, Eddie Ray and Johnny Wayne; and son-in-law, Thomas Horton. He is survived by 5 brothers, Oscar Ray, Dean, Billy, David and Coley; 1 sister Carolyn; as well as his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law. His memory will be cherished by 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren: nieces and nephews and many friends and other family members too numerous to name.
Family will Celebrate Gene’s life on August 23rd, 2025 on what would have been his 80th birthday. Details will be available directly from family.
