Gene C. Manning

Gene Manning, 79, Stanford, KY, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home. He was the Husband of Elizabeth "Liz" Shelton Manning whom he married December 24, 1970. Born September 20, 1943 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, the son of the late Delmar & Lula Singleton Manning. His passion was his family and church family. He had served as Deacon of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a honorably discharged veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a retired mechanic for Portman Equipment Company. Gene enjoyed tinkering on old cars, going fishing and watching westerns.
Survivors Include:
Wife of 52 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Shelton Manning of Stanford
One Brother, John H. and Wife, Pam Manning of Florida
Several Nieces & Nephews also survive and a host of friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Delmar & Lula Singleton Manning
Three Sisters, Betty Helton, Netta Brock, and Fannie Brock

Place of Funeral Services: Fairview Baptist Church located at 6426 KY Hwy 1247, Waynesburg, KY 40489

Place of Burial: Crab Orchard Cemetery
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at Fairview Baptist Church
