Gene McPherson, a dedicated truck driver and proud veteran, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Roswell, New Mexico. He was born on April 2, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and lived a life characterized by hard work, commitment, and family devotion.

For 35 years, Gene carved out a career at UPS, where he was known for his work ethic and reliability on the road. His contributions to the company were greatly valued, reflecting his strong character and dedication to serving others.

Gene served his country honorably in the United States Army, a testament to his steadfast commitment to the ideals of duty and service. This experience shaped him into the person he became, influencing his approach to both work and life with a sense of responsibility and integrity.

He leaves behind two loving daughters, Lorene Brown of Roswell and Linda Sanchez of Dexter, who will remember him for his wisdom, humor, and the love he extended to his family. His legacy will endure through them as they carry forward the values he instilled in them.

Gene is reunited in death with his beloved wife Glinda McPherson, daughter Genia McPherson, brother Ray McPherson, sister Pauline McPherson, and his parents, Glen McPherson and Edna Ramey. Their memories will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

As we remember Gene McPherson, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love for family, a dedication to his work, and the impact he made on those around him. His spirit will live on in the stories shared and the memories cherished by all who were fortunate to have known him.
