Gene Yvonne Stanley

 

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Gene Yvonne Stanley, age 69, of Blackmon Road passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be held 2:00PM - Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the First Advent Christian Church of Four Oaks. Officiating will be Revs. Della Grace Hargis and Rodney Raby.

Gene was born on August 16, 1954 in Johnston County, NC to the late Willie Raymond and Margaret Parrish Stanley. He was preceded in death by great-grandson, Silas Sebastian Hammock. Gene was a retired Masonry Contractor and a member of First Advent Christian Church of Four Oaks, where he served as a Deacon. He was an avid raccoon hunter and had a world champion bluetick, Stingray. Gene loved to fish, barrel race, raised black angus cows, working in his summer garden, and lived life to the fullest.

Surviving include his wife of 49 years, Teresa Parker Stanley; daughter, Genia Stanley and wife, Hope; grandson, Joseph Moore; granddaughter, Sommer Hammock and husband, Michael; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Lillian Hammock; sisters and brothers, Ann Holmes, Leo Stanley and wife, Pat, Linwood Stanley, Sarah Parker and husband, Wayne; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.
