He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judith Moody; former wife, Carolyn "Sue" Anderson; stepson, Bobby Hale.
Gene is survived by his wife, Ella "Joy" Sisson; daughter, Michelle (Chris) Moravec; son, Galen Sylvester; stepson, Joey Hale, Brian (Jean Ellen) Sisson; stepdaughter, Amanda (Chris) Smith; granddaughter, Brittney (Matt) Barnard; grandson, Blake Edwards; step grandchildren, Brooke (Jason) Hale, Sara (Ryan) Stovall, JD Hale, Colton Joyner, John Wesley Hale, Jacob Sisson, Anna Sisson, Mason Smith, and Grant Smith; great grandchildren, Ben Stovall, Hannah Stovall, Lily Barnard, Briar Barnard, and Elijah Stovall; numerous family and friends.
Gene retired locksmith, Eagle Scout, and Jack of all trade. He was a member of 18 years at Canaan Baptist Church in Ashland, Mississippi. Loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and helping others.
