Gene Westbrook Obituary
Angier, NC: Mr. Gene Carson Westbrook, age 68 of Jeep Lane passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The Westbrook Family will be having a private memorial service.
Mr. Westbrook was born on December 13, 1956 in Sampson County to the late Lonnie Marion and Lillie Hall Westbrook Byrd. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Westbrook. Mr. Westbrook was a retired paint and body shop mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and was known as the brain behind the speed. He loved drag racing. Mr. Westbrook also enjoyed planting and working in his vegetable gardens.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Janice M. Westbrook; children, Gene Carson Westbrook, Jr. and wife, Christina, Nicholas Wayne Westbrook and wife, Lee-Anne, Rebecca Jo Westbrook; grandchildren, Brandon Westbrook and wife, Lauren, Brice Westbrook and wife, Allison, Ashley Westbrook and fiancé, Brandon McGee, Nicholas Westbrook, Jr. and girlfriend, Laila Chmielewski, and Allison Paige Westbrook; great-granddaughter, Olivia Westbrook; sister, Catherine Parker and husband, Frank; brother, Carl Westbrook and wife, Calinda; several nieces and nephews.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
