Genes Samarra Johnson

Genesis Samarra Johnson made her transition to heaven on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. Her life's journey began on October 1st, 2007, in Sacramento, California. She was the daughter of Lamarra and Demontre Johnson. The sister to Derek Mathis, Curtis Mathis, Jade Johnson, and Kaedyn Cutts. Auntie to Jacob and Aavya Mathis. She loved her teachers and classmates at the Joseph Lee and McCormick High School. Her favorite way of showing her love was gifting them every holiday to make them feel special. That's what she did, made people feel loved and special. She was amazing at taking care of her nephew, she loved being there for him and doing whatever was needed to make sure he was okay. Her best friend was her mother, the yin to her yang. She loved being by her side whether it was to go shopping, watch movies, get her siblings in order, or just relaxing in the living room. She adored her big brothers, cared for her younger siblings, and loved all those around her. She leaves behind her mother, father, siblings, nephew, and niece.
