Mrs. Geneva Zuback Edwards, 95, of Buena Vista, passed away at Magnolia Manor of Marion County on September 2, 2024. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 10:00AM in Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 6:00-8:00PM.
Mrs. Edwards was born February 9, 1929, in Chicago, IL, to Gilbert and Lula Peters Zuback. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Edwards Tractor Service. A member of Brown Springs Church of God, Mrs. Edwards enjoyed singing, traveling, and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and her sisters. Mrs. Edwards loved playing Scrabble. She and her sisters were Scrabble fanatics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edwards, two sons, Larry Edwards and Richard Edwards, and by her siblings, Raymond Zuback, Peggy Henderson, and Marcelle Woodruff.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel McCallister of Cataula, GA; by a grandchild, Jessica and Jonathon Simmons; a great-granddaughter, Cora Eve Simmons all of Cataula, GA; two brothers, Gene Zuback and Lesley Zuback, both of Cottonton, AL; three sisters, Jeanette Zuback of Columbus, GA, Ouida Fuller of Mauk, GA, and Connie and Bob Langood of Wilmington, NC. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brown Springs Church of God, 6245 Hwy 355, Box Springs, GA, 31058.
