Genevieve Anne Lanhan passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on September 12, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA after a brief illness. She was 87 years old.
Genevieve is survived by her husband of 65 years Robert Daniel Lanhan (Dan), two children Robert (Kathy) and Christopher, two grandchildren Robert Jr. (Rachel) and Jessica (Tom), one great grandchild Theodore Robert Lanhan and half-brother Roger Kurtz (Elizabeth).
Genevieve was called Jean Anne or Jan by her many relatives and friends. Affectionately called Mom by her children and Gramms by her grandchildren, wife and husband referred to each other as “Dear” throughout their marriage.
Genevieve was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 31, 1937 to Franklin and Genevieve Kurtz, who died giving birth. She was raised by her father and loving grandmother Ada Kurtz.
After her marriage, Genevieve became a homemaker and raised her family in Feasterville, PA. She was part of a large extended family with many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews along with many close friends.
Genevieve dedicated her life to caring for her family. She loved to play Poker and Pinochle, hosting large house parties, decorating the house for the holidays, wrapping gifts, her dry Martinis and Friday lunches at the Buck Hotel.
A tribute to Genevieve’s life will be held sometime in the future as determined by the family.
