Genevieve Perro
January 24, 1942 - December 2,2024
Lafayette: Genevieve Perro was born to Joseph Perro and Nettie Perro. She was born on January 24, 1942 in Franklin, LA. She was the fifth child out of 18 siblings.
Genevieve accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was baptized and she turned her life over to Christ.
Genevieve became a mother to seven children: the oldest Edward Lee Perro, Joseph Perro, Pastor Calvin Perro, Samantha Perro, Pastor Vickie Perro, David Perro, and Lester Anderson. She was a mother to us all, even to strangers that she had never met before. She left Lafayette, LA and headed to Houston, TX with the dreams of giving her family a better life. She attended Franklin Beauty School to become a hair stylist. After schooling, she became a home health care provider to take care of the sick and elderly. She had a heart of gold!
She leaves behind her legacy of children: Edward Lee (Tiffany) Perro, Joseph (Linda) Perro, Pastor Calvin Perro, Samantha (Phillip) Flaniken, Pastor Vickie (Pierre) U'Shay-Nixon, David (Novella) Perro, and Lester (Jeanine) Anderson; her sisters and brothers: Eula Henderson, Iola Houston, Robert Perro, and Wilfred Perro; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nettie Perro; and her brothers and sisters.
Kinchen Funeral Home Inc., 1011 North Saint Antione Street, Lafayette LA 70501 is in charge of arrangements. Additionally condolences to the famil can be expressed on our website at www.kinchenfuneralhome.com.
