Genevieve Rose Wise, 44, passed away peacefully December 15, 2023 after a hard
fought battle with cancer. She was born October 17, 1979 in Akron, Ohio. She will be
remembered as a woman with a strong spirit and incredibly loving heart. Those who
knew Genevieve well say she was never one to back down, she always stood up for
herself and her loved ones. Her greatest pride in this world were her four children.
Although her life was short and challenging, she found a way to see the light in any
circumstance. She fought hard to give her children the best life she could. In her free
time Genevieve enjoyed spending time with her children, doing crafts, and reading.
Genevieve is preceded in death by her father Daniel Howard Wise. She is
survived by her mother Theresa Wise; her loving partner of ten years, Jesse Mitchell;
children Dylan (25), Owan (22), and Daniel (15) Guthrie, and Roxanne (7) Wise; brother
Jason Wise; sister Julie Wise; nephew Mathew King; her “mother-in-law” Emily
Mitchell, who graciously took her in and supported her over the last several years; as
well as numerous other family and friends whom she loved dearly.
The family will be holding a service followed by dinner on Friday, December
29th, 2023 at the Airport VFW Post 8975 (1649 Krumroy Rd, Akron, OH 44306) from
3-5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Stewart's Caring Place.
They were wonderful to her during her cancer treatment; helping with food, gas and
other things.
