Genise A Griffin

Genise Arlandra Griffin, gained her wings peacefully Thursday night January 30th, 2025, surrounded by her children Morgan T. and Michelle R. Griffin. Genise was the daughter of George M. Griffin and the late Gloria F. Morgan-Griffin. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee. February 15, 1964.
Genise's family relocated to Connecticut when she was an infant. Genise was Baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Norwalk, CT at an early age. As a member of Mt Zion, she was a junior usher and sang with the youth choir.
Genise Graduated from Norwalk High School in 1982.
Genise was employed by Greenwich Town Hall as a Business Administrative Assistant in the planning and zoning Department and the Health Department for over fifteen years. She appeared in the Greenwich Times newspaper due to her recycling efforts, a habit she gained from her mother.
Genise later became a member of Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church located in Stamford, CT. There she became the President of the Greeters Ministry
Genise enjoyed traveling with her special friends and family. One of her best trips was to Disney Land in Florida with the kids. Genise loved hosting Jewelry and Art parties because she enjoyed the fellowship.
Genise leaves to cherish her Loving memory, her son Morgan T., and daughter Michelle R. Griffin, one Grand Daughter Asa I. Emlicar, her brother Donald (Roselynne) Morgan of Atlanta, GA, her sister Laurie Morgan-James of Riverview, FL, favorite niece Christa R. James-Carter Riverview, FL, nephews Brian and Christian James both of Norwalk, CT, her best friend Ernestine Crawford of Charlotte, NC, one aunt Geneva Morgan of Detroit, MI and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
