Geoffrey Gaede, beloved husband, musician, and friend, passed away on August 24, 2025. Born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, to William and Dolores Gaede, Geoffrey was a true treasure to all who knew him.
Geoffrey’s love for life shone through his passions. He found joy in baseball, music, and teaching children how to read. A gifted accordion player, he used his talent to uplift others. He often visited nursing homes to share music with residents, who delighted in his performances, and he played in several bluegrass bands over the years. Through his music, Geoffrey brought happiness wherever he went.
For 35 years, Geoffrey was married to the love of his life, Carol Payne. Their marriage was a shining example of love, faithfulness, and commitment, and together they built a life filled with joy and devotion.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Dolores Gaede, his brother Bruce, his best friend Larry Bouck, and his stepson Dallas. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol, who shared a lifetime of love and companionship with him.
Geoffrey will always be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of music, and the warmth and joy he so freely gave to others. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
