Geoffrey Colin Horton Stubbs - known to most simply as Colin - sailed peacefully into the sunset on September 3, 2025, after a long illness. He leaves behind a crew of loved one who adored him deeply; his wife and partner-in-adventure, Pamela Moore Stubbs; his children Margarette McKellips (John), Heather Stubbs, Christopher Stubbs (Janelle), and Jennifer Sanders; his grandchildren Jacob McKellips (Lacie), Jesse McKellips, Madison Burns, Colin Graham Stubbs, Thomas Stubbs (Carlie), and Bonnie Colleen Stubbs, and one great-grandson Chevy McKellips.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Colin's early years were a whirlwind of continents and cultures - England, Africa, the Bahamas, and Jamaica -each leaving its mark on his colorful personality. He polished his hospitality chops at Hotel School in Lausanne, Switzerland, before diving into a career that would take him across oceans and trade show floors.

Colin's life in the Trade Show and Hospitality Industry began in the Caribbean and eventually led him to the United States, where his first gig was at the Greenbriar Hotel in West Virginia. From there, he make waves in Florida at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, then Atlanta, then Paris (France), and back again to Atlanta - always bringing charm, wit, and a touch of flair wherever he went.

One of his proudest moments was becoming a U.S. citizen, with Georgia claiming his as one if its own. And if you ever wandered a trade show floor and spotted a man in a Hawaiian shirt and cowboy boots, chances are you'd found Colin - mentoring newcomers, cracking jokes, and making the business feel like a party.

Beyond the bustle of work, Colin's heart belonged to the sea. Sailing and fishing were his soul's delight, and he never missed a chance to be outdoors - camping, trail riding, or simply soaking in nature with Pamela and their every-growing heard of horses, dogs, and cats. His love for animals was as boundless as his love for people.

The family will hold a private celebration of Colin's life - a gathering filled with laughter, stories, and maybe a toast or two to the make who mad eevery room brighter.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Colin's legacy by supporting the Georgia State University Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality. Donations may be made online at d.gsu.edu/stubbs or by mail to the Georgia State University Foundation, P.O. Box 3963, Atlanta, GA 30302-3963.
