Geon Grayson Obituary

At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and became a member of the Mount Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W. T. Guice. Educated in the Gulfport school system he graduated from Gulfport High School. Geon had no problems making friends. He received a bachelor's degree in marketing from the Mississippi University for Women. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
Geon spent many years working at several airlines, namely, Continental and American airlines. He was an adventurous person; he found joy traveling in and out of the country to places like, Thailand, Philippines, South Korea, England and Australia, just to name a few.
On April 29, 2015, he married Sairung "Kea" Turner. They lived an adventurous life traveling together. Sairung was instrumental in taking care of him during his illness and just listening to him when he wanted to talk.
With his loved ones by his side, his earthly journey ended on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Grayson; his maternal grandparents, Earline Hartfield and Cleotra Grayson, Sr.; great grandparents, Marshall and Earshell Grayson; paternal grandparents, John and Rebecca Smith.
Mourning his passing, yet thankful for the purposeful life are his wife, Sairung "Kea" Turner; his father, Mack Arthur (Brenda) Smith, Columbus, MS. Siblings, sister, Tondra B. Jones, and brother, Richard Mack, Columbus, MS; aunts, Audrey Grayson, Gulfport, MS, Helen Grayson and Margaret Diane Jackson, Cleveland, OH, Earline Turner, Houston, TX; uncles, Cleotra Grayson, Jr., Gulfport, MS, Jerry Marks, and Walter Turner, Houston, TX; cousins, Genia Grayson, Tenisha Willis and Renee' Willis, Cleveland, OH and Raynard Willis, Gulfport, MS and a host of cousins, family and friends.
