George Luis Acevedo, 58
George Luis Acevedo died October 6, 2024. He was born August 3, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. A resident of Okeechobee for 12 years, he enjoyed camping and four wheeling. He was always on the lookout for something to fix and create. He loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Acevedo was preceded in death by his father, Pablo Acevedo; mother, Marcelina Acevedo; and brother, Ausberto Acevedo.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Darlene Saalfrank, of Okeechobee; sons, Joshua Acevedo, of Okeechobee, and Thomas Driscoll, of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Shaniqua Acevedo (Jose Bucio), of Okeechobee; two grandchildren, Wyatt Bucio and Harper Driscoll; brothers, Manuel Acevedo, of Palm Bay, Pablo Acevedo, of Seabrook, New Hampshire, and Augustine Acevedo, of East Hampton, Massachusetts; sisters, Aida Acevedo, of East Hampton, Massachusetts, Aidin Acevedo, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, Irma Acevedo, of Florence, Massachusetts, Eldy Acevedo, of North Hampton, Massachusetts, and Carmen Acevedo, of Florence, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
