George Michael Austin

AUSTIN - George Michael Austin, age 35, of Grayson, Georgia, passed away on November 1, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, with Bishop Dr. Jason Owen officiating. A Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the service. A Repass will begin at 5:00 PM at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1520 Oak Road SW, Snellville, GA 30078 following the service. George was born on November 24, 1988, in Georgetown, Guyana. He graduated from Grayson High School in 2006. George was a family-oriented man and was extremely loyal to his loved ones. Some would describe him as a "mama's boy", but this furthered his love for his family. He was passionate about writing and was an excellent poet. George enjoyed music, whether it be from country to R&B. He enjoyed listening to music and being in the moment. He was an avid basketball player and fan. George especially enjoyed rooting for the Lakers. He loved good food. He wasn't a professional cook, but he was an at home chef. George was proceeded in death by his grandparents, George & Vashti Austin; Yvonne & Charles Bahadur; and aunts, Lynette Austin and Janice Austin. He is survived by his parents, Marlyn (Bahadur) & Ronald Austin; sister and brother-in-law, Renee & Kevin Austin-Taylor; brother, Jordan Austin; sister, Samantha Austin, brother and sister-in-law, Dane & Trina Jackson Austin; brother, Roland Austin; nephew, Dane Jackson Jr.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
