A funeral service will be held at 12:30 and burial will follow in Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.
George Baxter, 91, of Kingston died Saturday July 19, 2025. He was born October 16, 1933 in Plattekill a son of the late George and Olive (Craig) Baxter.
Mr. Baxter served our country in the United States Army and worked in his earlier years in the cement industry in Rosendale and worked in maintenance for many years at Ulster County Community College.
Surviving are his two daughters Michele Young and Mandy Baxter, both of Downsville as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His brother Robert Baxter also survives as well as nieces and nephews. Two sisters Ora Boughton and Juanita Lent predeceased him.

I worked with Bucky at UCCC , with Floyd Craig & Dan Heitzman the 4 of us always had fun and spent lunches together . Buck was a very gentle soft hearted guy . Sorry for your loss may he rest in peace . He always talked about living in Malone NY . I hope he made it
