George Duane Baxter Jr.

George Duane Baxter Jr., of Clinton Township, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born June 3, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late George Duane Baxter Sr. and Ethelda Joyce LaChance. Dearest father of Aaron Baxter and Christine (Jocelyn Divito) Baxter-Divito. Loving grandfather of Connor Baxter, Theo Baxter, and Ida "Lucky" Divito, Dear brother of Robert (Paula) Baxter, Pamela (Larry) Scroggins, Karen (James) Waddy, and Daniel Baxter. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. George is remembered as a man who loved his family and had a strong work ethic. From an early age, George was always drawn to working with his hands and was very talented when it came to dealing with numbers and mathematics. At age 18, he began working at Milco Manufacturing. George would go on to work for Milco for over 49 years, starting in the factory and working his way up to Designer/Engineer, a position that allowed him to combine his love of tinkering, technology, and mathematics. Above all though, George loved spending time with his grandkids. George's grandchildren brought him much joy, and he was always there to support, laugh with, and share his love with them. He was a dearly loved man who will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Visitation for George will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 2 p.m. until a 7 p.m. Funeral Service at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren.
