A celebration of the life and legacy of George "Bill" Bell, age 71, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Ed Hall and assisted by Rev. Johnny Hankins. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Bill was born on September 9, 1954, and passed away on October 10, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. and Grace Byrd Bell; and brother, Robert (Bob) L. Bell; father-in-law, Gerald Morehead; and nephew, Tommy Morehead.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Morehead Bell; in-laws, Reverend Johnny and Pam Morehead Hankins, Scotty and Lynette Knight Morehead; mother-in-law, Beverly Morehead; nephews, Drs. Benji and Jen Morehead and Jeffrey Morehead.
Bill was a longtime member of Woodlawn Methodist Church of West Monroe. He was also a member of the Cadeville F & AM Lodge #229. He was a true outdoorsman enjoying, hunting, fishing and camping. He canoed on flat and whitewater to class III. He was a gun enthusiast and collected many. Bill was a skilled knifemaker among his many talents. He enjoyed memberships in Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the National Rifle Association.
Honoring Bill as pallbearers will be Randy Bush, Jacob Cook, Dru Dollar, Benji Morehead, Jeffrey Morehead and Guy Owens.
Memorials may be made in Bill's name to the Woodlawn Methodist Church of West Monroe.
