George Patrick (Pat) Boyle, passed away peacefully on September 14th 2025 at his home in Highland Park, IL at the age of 75.

Pat was born in 1949 to Joyce and Stanley Boyle in Jacksonville, FL. He is survived by his loving wife, Corrine; his four children Rebecca (Guy) Guidry, Maureen Boyle, and Rory (Monika) Boyle, whom he raised with his former wife, Jill, and Kelsey (Cameron) Sprenger with Corrine. He also leaves behind three grandchildren Meira, Julien, and Anya, each of whom he cherished deeply.

He has one sister, Kathy (Roger) Eckhart, and two brothers, Michael (Ellen) deceased and Kevin (Jo). The family lived in several places through his childhood, from Jacksonville, FL, to Akron, OH and Lake Bluff, IL, before settling in Deerfield, IL. Pat graduated from Deerfield HS (1967). He went on to complete his bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago campus and his MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Pat built a long and respected career in the scrap metal business, spending nearly 50 years in the industry and retiring as Vice President of Scrap Purchasing for H. Kramer and Company. He was widely known for his expertise in assessing scrap metal, his sharp wit, and his generosity as a mentor to many.

Pat was politically active in his younger years, taking his younger brother, Kevin, to a protest rally after the death of a Black Panther. He tried to look and act cool with long hair and his love of rock and roll, attending concerts of the Stones, Beatles, Janis Joplin, Tom Petty, and many, many more. He has a T-shirt collection from nearly every concert he attended.

His favorite hobby was metal detecting, searching for treasures in parks, beaches, and anywhere he was allowed (and sometimes not!). Everything he found was a "treasure" to him.

Pat was truly loved by his family and friends and will be profoundly missed.

A memorial service is planned at 2pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Glencoe Union Church, 263 Park Ave, Glencoe, Illinois.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
