George Henry Clarke, Jr., of Townsend, TN, passed away on December 20, 2023. George was born on June 7, 1942 in Mobile, AL. He was a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason. George worked as a pipefitter with the Pipefitters Local 119 as well as the Pipefitters Local 440. He is preceded in death by his Father George Henry Clarke Sr. and his Mother Pauline Campbell and his brothers Douglas and Allen Clarke. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Susie; his children George Gregory Clarke, Kimberly Brooks, and Christen Driskell (all of AL); his 7 grandchildren; his stepson Mark (April) Yancey; his step grandson; his sister Joyce Kuester; and his shadow, Dolly. George was known for his love of AL football, his joy in helping neighbors, as well as his love for the Big Valley Resort in Townsend. He always took joy in driving Dolly around to visit friends in his golf cart. There will be a Masonic Funeral to honor George in the Spring of 2024.
