CORDELE - George Hansel Colvin, age 86, died Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 4, 2025, in the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will visit with friends starting an hour prior to the service.
George was born in Havana, Florida to the late Jessie David Colvin and the late Mary Beth Hopkins Colvin. During his working years, George was a a wild life manager for Matlachie Farms.
George is survived by his wife: Sandra Christmas Colvin; his children: Mike Colvin and his wife Dianne, Patricia Mann and her husband Johnny, and Kim Meadows and her husband Dewey; his grandchildren: Ashley Oliver, Leigh Ann Thompson, and John Deloit; his great-grandchildren: Henley Oliver, Sutton Oliver, and Alexis Deloit; his step children: Gene Christmas and his wife Jeanie, Angie Everidge, and Keith Christmas and his wife Amber, ; his step-grandchildren: Amy Gill, Chasity Everidge, Jeremy Everidge, Tatum Jones, Zoi Christmas, and Brixx Christmas; his step-great-grandchildren: Colton Gill, Stevie Gordon, and Jovi Gordon; his brothers: William Colvin and James Colvin; and a sister: Mildred Colvin
