George Andrew Conley

George Conley, 90, passed away peacefully in his home on February 28, 2026, in Wildomar, California. He was born on January 24, 1936, in Hollywood to Albert and Herva Conley and was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley McClay.

George grew up in Lake Elsinore, where he graduated from high school in 1954. He earned his degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and later received his teaching credential from USC. In 1956, he married Ellen Dill, and together they shared nearly 70 years of marriage.

George taught for many years in the Elsinore School District and at Linfield High School and also worked as an appraiser for the Federal Land Bank. He continued tutoring students well into retirement. He and Ellen made their home in Lake Elsinore, where they lived since 1960.

George is survived by his wife, Ellen; their children, Andrew (Terri) and Colleen (Mike); four grandchildren, Rachel (David), and Melissa (Jared), Nicole (Chad), Shannon (Josh); and ten great grandchildren. He was known for his strong faith, sense of humor, love of farming.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakehills Community Church in Lake Elsinore on Monday, March 9 at 11:00 AM.
