Violet Rose Perry, or more affectionately known as Fefe, who was a beacon of joy and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, in
Wildomar, California, at the age of 95. Born on May 9, 1930, in
the Bronx, New York, Fefe's life was a treasure chest filled with love, laughter, dancing, cooking, and the beauty of everyday moments.
Fefe was the beloved matriarch of a family that adored her. She is survived by her three children, Ellen, Denise, and Danny, who were the center of her world. Her legacy continued to flourish through her two grandchildren, Torrey and Michelle, and her five great-grandchildren, Ellie, Travis, Taylor, Brandon, and Tatiana. She was a cherished aunt to Veronica, Bill, Janice, Arlene, Elizabeth, Tom, Mario, Gina, Paulie, Matthew, Anthony, Nina, Lea, and Francesca. Fefe was the middle sibling to Ann and Betty, and is survived by her youngest brothers, Anthony "Sonny," and Frank with whom she shared a childhood with that was filled with fond memories and strong family bonds.
Fefe's formative years in the Bronx were marked by her attendance at a local cosmetology school, where she honed her skills that would later define her professional life. She worked as a beautician in New York, brightening the days of her clients with her skilled hands and warm and caring conversations. In the 1950s, she embarked on a new chapter of her life, relocating to Southern California. There, she devoted herself to raising her children, leading by example the values she held dear and embodied, such as: generosity, kindness, and perseverance.
Once her children were grown, Fefe returned to the workforce as a manicurist in the 1970s. Her work was not just a job, but a means to connect with people and to make their lives a little more beautiful, one manicure at a time. At this time she developed a 40+ year friendship with Michele Kaufman, who went from a weekly client to more of a family member connection that both Fefe and Michele would cherish until Fefe's passing. Her colleagues and clients became an extended family, drawn together by Fefe's infectious laugh and the comfortable ease she brought to every interaction.
Fefe's interests were as vibrant as her personality. She loved music and could often be found to be moved to dance by her favorite music. A wonderful cook, Fefe's kitchen was the heart of her home, where she whipped up delicious meals that became the backdrop for countless family gatherings and cherished memories. Fefe was known for her pizza, cheesecake, and Sunday sauce, three dishes that her family and friends would request and celebrate when brought to any social event. Socializing was second nature to Fefe; she had the unique ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved, and full from her delicious foods.
In the early 2000's, Fefe moved to Palm Springs with her son Danny where she embraced the desert lifestyle. She loved the sun, heat, being in the pool and jacuzzi on a daily basis. It didn't matter if the temperature was 110 degrees, you could still find her in the kitchen cooking, dancing to her favorite songs, and relaxing by the pool after everyone was fed, loved, and dotated upon by the ever generous Fefe.
Friends and family will remember Fefe as a pure soul-very sweet, kind, and giving. Her family, like her beloved cousin Charles (and best buddy) always brought her joy and laughter, because she loved her family (and they loved her) more than anything. Her laughter was a memorable "cackle" that resonated in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to hear it. Her kind spirit and generosity left an indelible mark on the world, and her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
Violet Rose Perry's life was a journey of joy, love, and beauty. The last six months of her life was spent with her son Danny and she was loved, attended to, included, cherished, and was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect that a woman like Fefe deserved in the last moments of her long and memorable life. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind-a legacy of warmth, compassion, and a life well-lived. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the memory of her great laugh will forever echo in the halls of our hearts, and the kindness, food, and unforgettable spirit that was Fefe, will be treasured in the hearts and souls of everyone that knew her.
