George Granville Cooper Jr. passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2025.

He was born July 20, 1936, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to George Granville and Elva Luella Alger Cooper. Married Linda Diana Peterson, March 30, 1962, and Pocatello, Idaho.

George spent most his life doing mechanical work, he could fix basically anything. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. George enjoyed riding and racing his motorcycle in his natural surroundings.

He leaves behind his wife of over 60 years, Linda; his two daughters, Brenda May Madison (Gary) and Lynette Marie Johnson (widow); brother Carl A. Cooper (Janet), six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and others not born from him, but claimed within his heart.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Leon Cooper, sister Belva Dalton, and son-in-law Brian Johnson.

Do not grieve, loved ones, for I have gone forward to my next adventure. I have so much to learn and see.

Message sent to heaven- though we cannot see, nor touch you, we carry with us the memories of the love and joy you shared with us. May God watch over you until we can be together once again.

George will be laid to rest at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park at a later date, when he can lay beside his wife, the woman of his heart.
