Kirk Edward McManus

It is with deep sadness Kirk Edward McManus (74) passed away peacefully at home on September 5th, 2025. He was born on June 3rd, 1951, to George and Joan, now both deceased.

Kirk was born and raised in California. Where he attended and graduated high school. Kirk later moved to Grantsville, Utah, in 1978 where he met the love of his life Leslie. Leslie has been by Kirk's side effortlessly taking care of him for the last 24 months until the day he passed.

Kirk worked many years in the roofing industry then later worked for USPCI as a supervisor for 20 years. He enjoyed many hobbies in his lifetime but hunting and camping trips with his son Brandon and his grandson Kash were his favorite. On many of those trips Brandon's friends would join them and they all would have the best of times. Kirk was known to be the neighborhood dad to so many of Brandon's friends. They all enjoyed hanging out with Kirk listening to music and watching him while he was tinkering on some sort of project. They loved going for rides with him too. These boys were like Kirk's own sons. He would spend countless hours at hunts B.S.n' with the guys where he made many close friends, but Arnie, Floyd, Don, and Max became family. Kirk was a great mechanic and could fix almost anything. His son Brandon spent every minute beside his dad. Kirk taught him how to replace an engine or overhaul an old truck. Most importantly he taught him to have a great work ethic and to be an honest hardworking man. Kirk was so proud of his son and his many accomplishments. Kirk lived to ride his Harleys and loved going on long road trips. He was excited to get his latest Harley up and running for one last ride, unfortunately his body was too weak, and he passed before he could take that final ride. He enjoyed playing his harmonica around family and friends. But the best of times were enjoyed sitting around a campfire.

He leaves behind his wife, Leslie, of 40 years, sons - Brandon (Brandi) McManus and Eric Mcmanus, daughters - Danialle McManus (deceased), Melissa McManus (deceased), his sisters – Sandy (Rick) Covello, Kit Madrid, 10 grandchildren - Sierra, Sadie, Chandler, Kayden, Kameron, Kayzlee, Kash, Karter, Kollin, his little princess Kapri, one great-granddaughter Mia, and many other extended family members.

A special thank you to his Doctor Lacee and his nurses Morgan and Dayna for their amazing kindness and care. Kirk requested no services. Family and friends will get together at a later date to celebrate his life.

We will miss you always and think of you often. We find comfort in knowing you are no longer suffering in pain. You are now with your family, especially your beautiful daughters whom you have missed deeply. A voice we loved to hear is now silent. A place in our hearts is broken. Walk beside us and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.
