George Newell Cox, II, 77 of White Stone, VA passed away on April 29, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents George Newell Cox and Jane Caralyn Parker, as well as his daughter Angela Marie Cox. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Elizabeth Ann Quisenberry Cox; his granddaughter Andrea Michelle Cox and grandson Douglas Newell Vass; his two beautiful great-granddaughters Kandace Juliet Kesner and Renessmae Angela Marie Vass; and his cat Bob Cox.
George was born on July 1, 1947 in Montgomery, Alabama as an only child. He served in the Army during Vietnam War in his early years. George was an extremely hard worker and family man. In his younger days he had his own Electrical and Plumbing business called MATHco for 20 years. His pride and joy was taking care of his wife. If you knew George, you knew that he was always a nice and kind man willing to give the shirt off his back. His favorite thing that he loved to do the most was telling people stories and sitting out on his deck all day feeding the wild animals. George will be missed for his kind heart and calm spirit.
At the request of George there will be no viewing, and a private family and friends memorial service will be held at a later date in May.
