Lucille Reynolds Christopher

Lucille Reynolds Christopher, 94 of Irvington, VA passed quietly in the early morning hours of Monday, October 6, 2025. Lucille was born on June 4, 1931, in Irvington to Richard Carroll Reynolds and Zora Hutchins Reynolds. She graduated from White Stone High School in 1948. She married John Columbus Christopher in 1950. Lucille began working at Lancaster National Bank in Irvington which later became Chesapeake National Bank. In 1979 she began working at the Bank of Lancaster and worked there until she retired.
Lucille is survived by her three sons, Michael Christopher (Janet) of Kilmarnock, Fred Christopher (Fonda) of Newport News and John Carroll Christopher (Pawna) of Panama; seven grandchildren: Sarah Leichty (Darrin), Rachel Stout (John), Carter Christopher (Cheryl), Chase Christopher (Kate), Dillon Christopher (Abbey), Mason Christopher and Zach Smith. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Hazel Christopher of Wisconsin, and close family member Gretchen Christopher of Ohio.
Lucille is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends, including those from Irvington Methodist Church where she was a life-long dedicated member.
She was predeceased in death by her husband John, their daughter Donna Jean, her parents and seven of her siblings: Richard Reynolds, Elizabeth Gates, Beal Reynolds, Marion Reynolds, Mary Pittman, John Reynolds and Thomas Reynolds. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Irvington Methodist Church, P. O. Box 178, Irvington, Virginia.
