Mr. Crandall was one of my favorite teachers during my six years at Episcopal. I had him for AP Language my junior year and I thoroughly enjoyed his class each day. By teaching rhetorical analysis, he taught me how to see the world through lenses that weren´t my own. He encouraged us all to think outside of the box, challenged us, and taught us lessons that would stay with us both in and out of the classroom. Mr. Crandall sparked my interest in psychology and taught that "everyone is right from their perspective." I´ve remembered those words ever since and continue to carry them with me as I am about to graduate with my master´s degree and embark on a career as a psychotherapist. I know that he will be deeply missed by many but his legacy will undoubtedly live on. I express my thoughts and condolences to his family and loved ones. Thank you for everything, Mr. Crandall.

Mr Crandall is one of those teachers that you never forget. He was my AP Language teacher, and his teachings went beyond English. He taught his students how to read between the lines, how to critically think, and how to reach their greatest potential. His classes were not only educational - they were genuinely FUN. I can still remember his laugh, many years later.
I am now an educator, and I feel fortunate enough to be able to draw upon Mr Crandall´s educational legacy throughout my own practice. He saw potential, and he invested in it.
He never let his students forget about how much he cared for them.
To you, Mr. Crandall. My sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones. His legacy lives on.

Mr. Crandall was one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime teachers. His passion for both teaching and learning was palpable. He had a way of listening to students that made each and every member of the class feel like a holistic person-someone beyond their academic merits or classroom presence. He changed the way I see the world, see others and, most importantly, how I see myself. He impacted so many people and will be dearly missed. My condolences go out to his family.

I first met George in 2003 on the Track and Field News message boards. I knew him as Marlow, TAFNUT, and Atticus. His love and passion for the sport of track and field was unmatched. In 2022, I was fortunate enough to finally meet George in person at the World Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. I will always remember his great passion for the game of life. My condolences go out to the entire Crandall family!

He was the reason I wanted to get into psychology and do track. He found a way to kickstart the two things I now love most and gave me the opportunity to explore those paths. He didn´t have to let me into AP Psych but he pushed me up the waitlist for whatever reason it may have been and it changed my life forever.
