GEORGE CONVERSE CRESTO was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, July 14, 1944. George was composer, singer, and entertainer. In his twenties, George was an artist and used the name George Taylor as an alias.
George was well liked, never known to have an enemy. He got along with everybody. He was always ready to help people in any way. George was an active member of the Pathway Clubhouse, of which he supported and participated in many of their community events.
The family reflects on how George played his harmonica and guitar, singing oldies but goodies with his cousins, Diane and Barbara, as his backup singers. He played his harmonica and/or guitar for everybody he met. Being very talented, George played piano and other instruments as well.
Our beloved George C. Cresto entered eternal life on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was seventy-eight years of age. George was preceded in death by his mother/aunt, Gladys Ruby Carter; sister, Laray Barbara Gibbs; cousin, John Edward Carter; and many more.
Loving memories are cherished by his brothers, Leroy Taylor and Michael Taylor; sister, Vanessa Curry; sister/cousin, Lillian Diane Carter; nieces, Chandell Carter, Brittany Carter Stewart, Angela Gibbs, Shawna Gibbs, and Marquita Curry; nephews, Branden Jonathan Carter, Robert "Bobby" Gibbs Kirk, Adelbert "Buddy" Gibbs, Jamal Curry, and Damien Curry; cousins, Barbara Williams, Larry Carter, Richard Carter, Kenneth Carter, Eric Bush, and Nathaniel Bush; The Pathway Family; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
