George Forester

George Forester, 68, of Harwich MA, formerly of Holden, MA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after a short battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD).

Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of Albert M. and Margaret M. Forester. He graduated from St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, DE and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware.

George began his career at Solid State Scientific in Montgomeryville, PA. In 1983, he and his wife, Diane, moved their family to Holden MA, where he worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, later joining Intel and then iRobot.

He was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed golf, biking, hiking, kayaking, sailing, and bowling. He was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Parish, where he recently served as Deputy Grand Knight. While living in Holden, he was also a devoted member of St. Mary's Church and coached Holden Youth Soccer.

George is survived by his devoted wife, Diane (Beach) Forester, of Harwich, MA; his daughters', Stephanie of Woonsocket RI and Kristin (Tim McCarthy) of Grafton, MA; and his son, Sean (granddog Enzo) of Harwich, MA. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Aria and Lily McCarthy; his brothers, Father Raymond, Al (Mary), Jim, Joe (Anne), and John (Lyn); and his sisters, Ann Parsons (Bob) and Ellen Perregrino (Angie). George is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters-in-law, Penny Forester, Barbara Fasano, and Marybeth Beach.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10am to 11:15am, with a Funeral Mass following at 11:30am, at St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Rd, Orleans, MA.
