George Doyle Forrester, Jr., 75, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, in the Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A family and friends visitation will be on Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Texas Division Sons of Confederate Veterans.
George was born February 25, 1950, in Borger to George Doyle Forrester and Clema Bernice Jones Forrester. He attended elementary school at Bunavista Elementary in Borger, middle school at Stephen F. Austin Junior High in Borger, graduated high school from Borger High School in Borger, attended Frank Phillips Junior College and Amarillo College, and trade school at Career Training Institute (COBAL Computer) in Huntsville, Alabama.
He had an extensive work history having worked at Malcom Supply, Malcolm Hinkle, Jack's Wholesale Plumbing Supply, Morton Lumber Company, Phillips Chemical Division, Phillips Petroleum, and ConocoPhillips.
George had various civic organizations he was a part of including Circle K Club at Frank Phillips Junior College, Kiwanis International in Amarillo, Canadian River Bunch Muzzle Loading Rifle Club as president, Borger Youth Soccer Association as a coach, referee, vice president and president, Adobe Walls Dancers, Explorer Troop as an adult supervisor, Sons of the Confederate Veterans, Sidney Sherman Camp #2256, and the Soldiers for Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Clema Forrester; and sisters, Marilyn Ruth Edwards and Sue Lemons.
Survivors include his son, George Colby Forrester and wife Christi of Tulsa; daughter, Holly Danielle Moran and husband Shay of Cypress; grandchildren, Brett Forrester, Lexleigh Fair, Jacob Moran, Taylor Moran; and a host of extended family and friends.
