Valerie Monique Reyes

Valerie Monique Reyes, 43, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 17, 2025, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Conny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  She will lie in state beginning at 1 pm on Friday until 8 pm, Saturday 8 am to 8 pm and Sunday 1 pm to 8 pm.  

Valerie was born August 3, 1982, in Odessa, Texas to Bobby Lopez Reyes and Velma Franco Reyes. She worked prior to her diagnosis at Dr. Weber’s office. Valerie enjoyed hanging out with her friends, online shopping, and was a self-proclaimed “keyboard warrior”. She had a beautiful infectious smile and the warmest of hearts. Valerie lived life to the fullest and was always willing to help others along the way. She had an extraordinarily precious relationship with her niece; she supported her in every way and loved her BIG.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Reyes.

Survivors include her mother, Velma Reyes of Borger; sister, Brittany Emery and husband George of Amarillo; niece, Averie Emery; and host of extended family and friends.
