Jerry Wayne Prince, 76, passed from this life Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Amarillo. A Celebration of his Life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Fairlanes Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Watson officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to Fairlanes Baptist Church’s children and youth program, 3000 Fairlanes Blvd, Borger, Texas, 79007.
Jerry was born January 25, 1949 in Borger to J. C. Prince and Imogene E. Wakely Prince . He proudly served his country in the Army during the Viet Nam war. He was an insulator for Phillips Petroleum Co. and was married to Trisha Fletcher March 16, 1972 in Borger. He loved his family, Camping, Boating and Casinos. He was a master at building and fixing things, he would help anyone with their projects. Jerry was very active in his church, fixing things and cooking meals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Kenneth and Billy Beaty and Kenny Prince and his sisters Glenda Prince Guinn and Sharon Beaty Smith.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years Trisha, his son Chris Prince and his wife Julie of Amarillo, his daughter Leslie Gray and her husband J. R. of Bushland, his six grandchildren Karli, Kyler, Haylie, Parker, Keegan and Berry, his three great-grandchildren Rowyn, Crew and Ellie and his brother Bobby Beaty and his wife Connie of Borger.
Jerry was known as a nice person and will be missed by all who knew him.
