George Bernard Gabehart, Jr., 64, of Shepherdsville passed away December 10, 2024. He was a retired employee of CBRE, former editor of the old Mt. Washington Star, former member of the Mt. Washington Fire Department, a graduate of University of Louisville and Eastern Kentucky University.
He was preceded in death by his children, Christena Jones and George Gabehart, III ; father, George Gabehart, Sr. ; sister-in-law, Angela Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Debra G. (Troutman) Gabehart; mother, Margaret "Peggy" Gabehart; brothers, Timothy Gabehart and Michael Gabehart (Andrea) ; sister, Mary Ellen Fehder ; brother-in-law, Martin Brown ; many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 14, 2024 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
