George Edward Gay, age 90, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dianne Ethridge Gay of Gainesville; children, Donna Marty Gay, Tony Gay, Ronnie (Patty) Gay, Regina (Randy) Leger, Jeff (Dawn) Brooks, Denise (Jim) Klaes, Larissa (Wade) Mathis; grandchildren, Elizabeth Evans, Timothy Evans, Terry Gay, David Ryan Comaux, Rylan Leger, Raven Leger, Sloan Mathis Hatcher, Tabitha Herrington, Matthew Klaes, Jameson Klaes, Courtney Brooks, Autum Brooks; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, R.L. (Wanda) Gay; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Valerie) Ethridge; sister-in-law, Beth Ethridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Gay was born on May 25. 1935 in Alford, FL. He received his education at Alford School System and was a retired electrician. Mr. Gay was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Panama City, FL. He loved gardening, working on lawn mowers, and shucking oysters. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Gay officiating. Interment will follow at the Ewing Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dacula, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 5:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
