Jacquelyn Parrish "Jackie" Ladshaw

Jacquelyn (Jackie) Parrish Ladshaw was born in Spartanburg, S.C. to the late Ruth Bell and John Allen Parrish. She graduated from Spartanburg High School and Converse College in 1949 with a degree in Music Education and voice. She married Thomas Gordon Ladshaw in 1949 and was blessed with two sons, Thomas Gordon and John Parrish.
She taught Kindergarten and Preschool for over 40 years and also taught music, directed choirs and sang in many choirs through the years. She was a former Director of Shallowford Presbyterian Preschool, past president of Dekalb and Gwinnett Preschool Association and also Co-President of Henderson High School with Gordon Ladshaw.
She was a former member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church where she served as both Deacon and Trustee. She was active in the music program and taught in the preschool for 20 years. She was a member of Buford Presbyterian Church where she was active in the music program, Bible study and senior groups. She now attends Flat Creek Baptist Church.
She sang in Silver tones Chorus and loved to volunteer out in the community.
She is survived by her two sons, Tom and John, daughters-in-law Vicki Pittman Ladshaw and Vicki Hanners Ladshaw, five grandchildren, Marissa Bankert, Allison and Brycen Freeman, Kayleight Ladshaw, Derek and Jordan Ladshaw and Austin Ladshaw. Three great grandchildren, Kyle Malinde Bankert, Ella Jo Freeman, and Everly Margaret Freeman, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home (4400 South Lee Street, Buford, GA 30518) with Pastor Zach Williams of Flat Creek Baptist Church officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (1300 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307). The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
