George Gugliotta Obituary

George was a proud WWII Army Veteran attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a Bronze Star & Purple Heart Recipient. George served in the 1st Armored Division 6th Infantry Regiment taking part in many campaigns in North Africa, Italy, Germany, including Anzio Beachhead.
George led an active lifestyle, he was a member of the Holiday City (Carefree) Men's Club, he enjoyed swimming, bicycling, bowling, bocce, and darts, he also loved his plants, he had a green thumb and can make anything grow.
George was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River and was a member of the VFW Post 10185, Berkeley Twp. and the Toms River Disabled American Veterans.
George is predeceased by his wife, Margaret Gugliotta, four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his sister, Helen Smith of Nutley, his daughters, Georgeann Amelio, Marlene (Robert) Stinson, Karen (Lawrence) Samples, Cheryl (Glenn) Nier, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 7, 2024 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, November 8, 2024 10:00am at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
