Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00AM at Victory Tabernacle of Deliverance, 1329 US 70 W., Garner, NC. Interment will follow at the St. John United Holy Church Cemetery, 9118 Fowler Road in Zebulon, NC. Bishop Horton will lie in state on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 2:00PM-5:00PM at St. John Holy Church where he pastored. There will be a Service of Remembrance with the family present from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.
Bishop Horton is survived by his wife, Lady Gloria Horton; sisters, Mattie Crudup of Ft. Washington, MD, Peggie Hines of Wendell, and Edna Goodson (Charlie B. Goodson) of Eagle Rock; brother, Romas Horton (Geraldine Fox Horton) of Rocky Mount, NC; several nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to William Toney's Funeral Home, 216 E. Barbee Street, Zebulon, NC To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Bishop George, please visit our Tree Store.
