George "Jimmy" Howard, 79, of Oakland City, IN passed away September 19, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born in Winslow, IN January 17, 1945 to the late James Edward Howard and Alice Marie (Green) Howard. Jimmy was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with friends, going to the lake, playing cards, and listening to good music. Jimmy would often sit on the porch and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Alice Aldridge and Michael Howard; nephews, Harvey Aldridge and Gregory Howard; and niece, Melissa Cash.
Jimmy is survived by his children, Shandale Bloodworth and Paul Howard; grandchildren, Austin Howard, Alexis Howard, Savanna Howard, Dustin Bloodworth, Madison Bloodworth, and Taylor Hunt; great grandchildren, Carcyn, Nova, Aleister, Ronin, and Gracee; nieces and nephews, Elaine Atkins, Bill Aldridge, Micheal Howard, Allison Underwood, Matthew Howard, and Mark Howard; and special friend Vicky McCandless.
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Howard. A burial will take place at a later date.
