79, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully on Friday May 30, 2025.
A proud veteran, Skip served his country honorably as a U.S. Naval aircrewman (helicopter) specializing in search and rescue missions. After his military service, he dedicated many years to his trade as a skilled machinist before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Patricia (Edwards) Hunt and his son Scott Hunt. In his later years, he found companionship and joy with his partner, Rose Bates, who was by his side in his final days.
Skip had a deep appreciation for the outdoors - he enjoyed being near the water, especially enjoying fishing, being on the bay, and digging for quahogs.
He is survived by his son, George Hunt “Geo”, his wife Kristen Hunt; beloved granddaughters Alyssa and Olivia Hunt; and his sister Beatrice Dipippo.
A private service will be held by the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider leaving a memory or a condolence.
