George Harold Jacks, 80, New Palestine, IN passed away on December 8, 2024 in New Palestine, IN. He was born on December 2, 1944 in Canton, OH.
Survivors include, Wife, Su An Jacks; son, Michael R. Jacks; daughters, Bette (Donnie) Wagner, Tammy (Corey) Casper; sister, Linda Sexton; brother, Doug Jacks; sister-in-law; Su Yon (Doug) Holton; several nieces, nephews & other family members around the world.
Preceded in death by, parents, Robert Jacks & Bette (Wade) Goodwin; sister, Cam Adams; brother, Ron Jacks, nephew, Donnie Jefferson.
George served twenty-two years in the United States Army and retired as 1SG. He had been awarded the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. He was the Past Post Commander of American Legion Post 495 and an Active Member of the American Legion Riders Chapter 182. George loved being outside working in the yard & spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved riding his motorcycle when he could. He was a big sports fan.
Service will be Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00PM at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W US HWY 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130 with visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Mortuary. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Thomas. Military rites to be performed by the Greenfield Honor Guard
