George A. Kelley Jr (Kelley) of Weymouth passed away peacefully on November 21 2025 at the age of 87. Kelley was born to George and Dorothy (Carland) Kelley on July 18, 1938 and grew up in East Cambridge.
He is survived by his wife Rosemarie (Podlaski) and his children Karen, Kristine (Kris), Bonnie, Scott, Cheryl and Colleen. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne. He was the beloved Grampy to Stephanie, Miranda, Jacob, Nox, Cole and Lila and Great Grampy to Landon. He leaves behind his loving siblings Joan, Patricia and Michael as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Kelley was a proud US Army Veteran and remained active in the Weymouth Veteran community. He retired from both the US Postal Service and the Quincy Auto Auction after many years of dedicated service. Kelley will be greatly missed by all fortunate to know him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 11/30/2025 from 1-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday 12/1/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kelley's memory can be made to the Friends of the Weymouth Council of Aging, 182 Green Street, North Weymouth, MA 02191 and/or the Wounded Warrior Project.
