Thomas J. Kirby IV, lovingly known by many as Kirby, 48, of Weymouth passed away on March 27th.

He grew up as a "Beach Kid" in the Fieldston section of Marshfield.

He is survived by his mother Sandra (Olsen) Broderick, his late father Thomas "Joe" Kirby III, Carrie Wagner and their three children David, TJ, and Violet. His aunts Jean Olsen, Janet MacLellan, Marylyn Hennigan, Jackie Donovan And Maureen Olsen and the late Billy Olsen. along with many uncles and cousins. His Step mother and Step brothers Evie Fusco, Brian Fusco, Paul and Ellen Fusco, and his niece Abby Fusco. As well as many aunts uncles and cousins in California and Florida.

Kirby attended Xaverian High school and Hebron Academy graduating in 1996. He went on to attend University of Rhode Island and Merrimack college where he played football as a tight end.

He was an avid science fiction and fantasy enthusiast who found great joy in watching movies, reading books, and attending king Richards faire. He had a great passion for sports, playing many, throughout his life with a focus on football and basketball. He later extended that passion to his children and his community, coaching football as well as youth basketball for both of his sons teams and his daughter. He cherished his ability to share all of his passions with his children and friends.

If you knew him, you loved him. To have crossed his path was to be touched by a gentle kindness and warmth that could never be forgotten. And so- he lives on- forever carried in the hearts and minds of his children, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
